Benefit for Injured Motorcyclist

With the economy as it is these days, it’s tough enough to keep up with the ‘day to day’ expenses of running a home and caring for a family of five. For one NH family, things have recently become tremendously more difficult. After being laid off for nearly six months, this local father of three had finally obtained employment. Shortly into his position, before benefits could be gained, he was in a motorcycle accident in July. He was treated at the scene and transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital where they were unable to stabilize him and were forced to med flight him to Beth Israel Hospital where they diagnosed his injuries to include: three brain hemorrhages, skull fracture, broken collar bone, breaks in all ribs and multiple internal injuries as well as a blood clot on his brain the size of a grapefruit. After four hours of surgery and a five-day stay in recovery, he was sent home. He has since has had many complications and requires several medications. It will take a significant amount of time for a full recovery, which, as you can imagine, is financially, physically, and emotionally draining for him and his wife who has been caring for him and their children.

To help ease the financial burden of medical expenses, a fundraiser has been planned for November 16, 2008 from 4:00-6:00 all ages and 6-10pm at Sky Lounge & Bistro, located at 522 Amherst St., Nashua. This benefit will have a DJ, live bands,comedy acts and raffles for prizes donated from local merchants including Hannaford, My Kidz Kuts, a diamond necklace and a pair of earrings from local Jewelers, I-Robot, as well as WWE Survivor Series Tickets and live sports tickets plus so much more! Please join us for an evening of laughs and live entertainment to help a local family. Tickets for the event are only $10 per person.
